Beautiful historical building in a spacious garden with pool. Situated near the promenade, nevertheless quiet. Railway station, guesthouse and landscape park (Cockington Village) within walking distance. Very warm hosts. Delicious breakfast with regional or homemade products. Nice pets.

The location was amazing and fantastic, and the room was spotlessly clean. The small double room we stayed in was modern with nice views, the beautiful garden, for example. The breakfast had a good choice of outstanding options, and was tasty and wonderful.

We stayed at the Charterhouse for our Wedding Anniversary and it was fantastic. The room was lovely - spotlessly clean with lots of nice touches. The location was great, walking distance from Torquay's centre but nestled in the countryside. Breakfast exceeded all expectations - it was more in keeping with a 4* hotel than a B&B. The hosts were attentive, warm and welcoming. We highly recommend a stay there and will definitely be back.
We could find no down sides to this lovely place.
